Young Labor Left
The Young Labor Left are a group of activists within the Australian Labor Party, under 26 years old. We organise in every State and Territory to support progressive policy and help elect left-wing Labor Party candidates.
The Young Labor Left has always fought for a Labor Party which is committed to social and economic justice, human rights, and world-standard wages and conditions for working people.
We believe that the Labor Party should lead, and not just follow, the community and stand up for what is right. Some of the many issues we campaign for include:
- The humane treatment of refugees and asylum seekers.
- Marriage equality, and the removal of all discrimination against LBTIQ people.
- Fighting the increasing economic inequality between rich and poor.
- A strong union movement which protects workers from exploitation and unsafe workplaces.
